Pizza-style Steak Sandwich

Perfect for the kids, small households or singles – or anyone who has a cozy simple dinner or lunch in mind.

Ingredients
 1 lb (500 g)Beef Minute/Sandwich/Fast-fry Steaks, cut into 4 pieces
 Salt and fresh ground pepper or steak spice
 1 tsp (5 mL) vegetable oil
 4 slices garlic bread, toasted or thick-sliced Italian bread, toasted
 ½ cup (125 mL) pizza or tomato pasta sauce
 ½ cup (125 mL) shredded mozzarella cheese
Method

1. Pat steaks dry with paper towel; season with salt and pepper or steak spice to your taste.

2. Heat oil in nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and cook steaks, in batches as necessary, for 4 to 8 minutes, turning twice or more until steaks are cooked to medium (160°F/71°C) at the least.

3. Place 1 cooked steak on each slice of toast on a baking sheet. Spread sauce on steaks and sprinkle with cheese. Place under pre-heated broiler and broil until cheese just melts.
