A QR code (quick response code) is a type of two-dimensional (2D) bar code that is used to provide easy access to online information
through the digital camera on a smartphone or tablet.
How to Scan a QR code on an Android Phone
Step 1: Check to see if your Android phone supports QR code scanning. Not all Android phones come with this ability yet, so you may have to take some extra steps before scanning.
Step 2: Open your scanning app. Open up the app, whether it’s Bixby, QR Code Reader, Samsung Optical Reader, the Camera app (on Google’s Pixel phones), or whatever option is installed on your Android phone. If the app does not open up to the scanning window via the phone’s camera, then it will give you an option to switch to “scanning” mode.
Step 3: Position the QR code. Place the camera so it’s directly above or in front of the QR code so the corners show inside the edges of the scanning window. Hold the phone steady while it identifies the code.
Step 4: Choose the correct option. The app should then provide a pop-up option to take any action based on the QR code. OR
